I write my perspective on how cultivating gratitude everyday has changed my life and how it has given me the blessing of making each day feel like a gift. By having a daily gratitude practice, I have cultivated an appreciation of everything I already have and live each day with my cup feeling full.
I hope my outlook can inspire you to start your own gratitude practice and evolve your way of thinking and your appreciation towards each day of your life.
The measure of worthiness we place on our life should only be measured by our own individual perception and not by the judgment or pressure of others.
We ourselves have the power to choose how we want to feel in our life every day, and by allowing us to have more compassion, patience, love, and forgiveness towards ourselves it illuminates any external pressure on where we think we should be in life, allowing us to be more content and have more acceptance in each stage of our life.
Aspects of society has conditioned us to believe that we need to reach a certain destination in our life to finally feel accomplished or find happiness.
Unfortunately, by living with this perception and by having this pressure on us we are unable to feel whole and worthy just as we are.
As humans it our part of our purpose to constantly evolve, and I mark the importance of us having life goals. Having goals in place allows us to grow, expand and make our lives purposeful.
Whilst having goals in place, and as we gain more in our lives from our successes it is important to remember that everything, we accumulate is a bonus, because our health, joy, loved ones and our safety are the real blessings in our life.
Life truly is about the journey, not the destination.
If we viewed our life as needing to reach a destination to be happy, then we would have a mindset of reaching an end to something. When in fact our souls are having a temporary human experience and our purpose in life is to continue to evolve and grow. It is impossible for us to reach any certain end, like the infinity symbol our souls are in a constant loop of evolution and we are infinite.
If we choose to life live according to this belief, we will eventually trap ourselves and our lives can become a constant cycle of external chasing.
The happiness we feel from short periods of tangible things will only make us happy to a certain extent and then once the novelty wears off the cycle of looking for the next best thing will arise, and the cycle will start to repeat itself.
By creating a daily practice and by being grateful every single day for the small moments we experience and create we can start to believe that the “mundane” things in our everyday life are extraordinary and special if we choose to believe it.
I have experienced days where things have gone terribly wrong, things haven’t gone my way and I’ve lost all faith, to only have me feeling disappointed. And by having the not so good days, I can’t even explain how much appreciation I have for the good.
Practicing gratefulness takes practice and most of all time, time for us to train our subconscious minds to start to recognise and believe the words we tell ourselves every day.
Once you can truly start to feel the shift of how you feel every day and the blessing of what it feels like to be grateful you will feel lighter, have more acceptance and be at peace with everything you have and where you are in your life.
Personal inner fulfillment can only come from being at peace with ourselves, once we stop living from a state of lack, will we truly believe we already have everything we need.

As I start to finish writing my personal perspective on this piece, the power of gratitude, a new song started to play on my Spotify which I was intrigued to check the title, the name of the song was called “Blessed” some things are truly divinely guided.
